The Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, LTD has opportunities in the field of Urban Forestry, as tree care Groundmen , Climber/Trimmers & Foremen. Davey is a leader in the Residential-Commercial tree care, utility line clearing and forestry consulting industries, throughout the US and Canada. POSITIONS AVAILABLE CALGARY, ALBERTA Positions are local and do not involve out-of-town locations or overnight assignments. JOB DUTIES: Local positions involve providing expert tree surgery services and inspections to customer properties. Groundmen work as apprentices, with Climbers/Trimmers as member of crew. Foremen are lead on the crew. Trimmers are responsible for climbing, pruning and removing trees on residential and commercial properties. QUALIFICATIONS: Arborist or Forestry experience is valuable, but not required. Must have 2-3 years experience for Trimmers and Foremen positions. ISA Certification, CDL, strong tree ID skills, installation experience of cables, bracing and lightening protection, climbing experience without spurs, knowledge of knots, chainsaw operation, chipper experience all valuable, but not required. Experience in arborist work, training, equipment maintenance, customer service, safe working procedures are all highly valuable. Ability to work outdoors, handling steady physical work activity as member of trimming crew.
